The raw food diet – fruits & veggies for weight loss

The raw food diet can have its benefits and harzards, especially if you take it to the extreme. Having said that, there is nothing better to clean out your system, pump antioxidants into your body, live healthier, and lose weight by changing part of your dieting strategy to resemble the raw food diet.

My personal experience with the raw food diet

While I’m not a die-hard fan of the raw food diet, I have used eating fruits and vegetables in the past to cleanse my system and also get rid of acne.

When I was in my 20s, I had a really bad skin problem. And since I was not able to put any type of cream on my skin – I have very sensitive skin – I turned to juicing. I was amazed to see the results after only 3 weeks of drinking one glass of a mixture of several fruits and vegetables every day after my running session. The acne I had at the time magically cleared up, and my skin was looking bright and shiny.

That’s why today I’m not skeptical when I hear people say that the raw food diet has an anti-aging and detoxifying effect. Fruits and vegetables contain the necessary vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants necessary to help your body function properly, heal, and stay clean.

While my diet is not 100% raw, I am slowly trying to increase the percentage of my diet that consists of purely raw food. And I must say that after 3 months of doing this, I’ve already noticed improvement in the way I feel – I’ve got more energy and some pains that I’ve been having are slowly going away. The raw food diet works! Even if you don’t go the full 9 yards with it.
